Busboys and Poets

I was in DC for two years before I ever checked out Busboys and Poets. I cannot believe it took me so long, because it is completely my scene! The walls are decked with conscious art, there is a book store and every week, they have poetry slams and other events. I had been there for dinner several times, but never for brunch. How lucky was I that my friends live walking distance to Busboys and Poets, the Brookland location. It was a no-brainer that we would check it out on my final day of my DC visit.

One of my friends and I got the same thing - the Busboys and Poets french toast with seasonal fruit and scrambled eggs. Not only did it look amazing, but it tasted fantastic too. At (only) $10 - forgive me, I am used to NYC prices - my account was happy. Check it out if you are in the DC area!
